SEATTLE - Distinguished Ethiopian patriot-scholar Professor Achamyeleh Debela recites a poem in honor of the Victory of the Battle of Adwa. In 1896, Ethiopian patriots under the leadership of the great Emperor Menelik defeated Italian invaders. The Victory of Adwa is celebrated every year on March 3.
