Ethiopian General Discussion meeting may 18, 2013


 
 

The Ethio-Norway taskforce has arranged an open public meeting on Saturday 18.may 2013 in Oslo starting at kl.15:00 by inviting panelists from different political and civic societies. The main objective of the meeting is to discuss the current political situation of Ethiopia and the importance of Semyawi party’s call for demonstration.

The role of the panelists is to give a short brief high lights to the participants not more than 15 minutes each on the specific given agenda. And much of the time is given to the participants for discussion, questioning, suggestions and exchange of opinion and ideas.

All Ethiopians expected to come with constructive ideas and comments to contribute on the issues of the discussion agendas.



I am happy to inform you all that the taskforce has assigned 5 persons as Panelists and a moderator.



1. Ato Dahilon Yassin: Topic: Current Ethiopian political situation and semyawi Party’s planned demonstration.
2. Ato Daba Gutema: Topic: Ethiopian political situation in reference to media, human and democratic rights
3. Ato Daniel Abebe: Topic: Peaceful and other alternative means of struggle in Ethiopia / Semyawi party’s call
4. Ato Mohamed Siraje: Topic: Freedom of Religion in Ethiopia and Semyawi party’s planned demonstration.
5. Ato Argaw Yakob:Topic: The role of diaspora in Ethiopia politics and Semyawi party’s planned demonstration.
Ato Dawit Mekonnen is the modulator of the meeting and he will lead the meeting in comply with the purpose specifically mentioned above.

Note: All the panelists and the modulator are expected to wear black cloth
