The early Christians didn't have church, cathedral or any kind of building to worship God. Instead they were getting together under the shades of trees, in caves and in high ways,side ways and by ways. Yet, contrary to the modern day churches like that of the Ethiopian Orthodox church, they were serving the Lord mightly and faithfully and gave all what they had to caring for the poor for the glory of God.
It is not an elegant building that brings a Christian closer to God, but a child-like heart that accepts His Love and live to please Him in heart. It is not your magnificient building whereby you can go to the presence of the Lord, but your knees that should get callouse while you crawl to get to His courts.
God is not addictive to the incences the church burns every day. He is more interested to smell the sweet aroma of our worship that comes forth from our inner most than our "religious" ritual which we are proud of our "3000 years glorious history". Forget it!
The beautiful robe the clergy wear, their stylish dance coupled with their incense burning are just nothing but filthy before the sight of the True God.
God is really disguested to accept their offering while they rob the poor and act like god themselves. God doesn't like their idea of accepting sin offerings from the poor to whom Jesus died once and for all.
When is the Ethiopian orthodox Church and it clergy stop being hypocrite? Of course the Orthodox Church is not any where to raise her voice and defend the poor, when the Church herself is teamed up in a Satanic alliance with dictators who come and go.
Where is the Orthodox church to feed and care for the poor who are begging at the door step of her "magnificient" buildings?
It is just another "our 3000 glorious years" traditional mish mash that blinded both the Clergy and the "believer". Ah! 3000 years. Thats hogwash!
It is always true with hypocrites like the Orthodox clergy to appear as if they are saints whom we should revere and do what they tell us to do including what offering we should bring to "wipe out" our sins.
If we don't stop boasting about our "3000 glorious years", and turn to the True God in humility, then we are doomed to stay blind for the next 3000 years. Whether we like it or not our nation has been blinded for the last 3 thousand years giving lip service and pleasing the devil who is delighted to dress the clergy up with "glorious robes"
